Card statement messages

On a card linked with Surrah+, Surrah reads your bank's statement message for that card, for example: "Your statement for card … has been sent with an outstanding amount of OMR 320. The minimum amount of OMR 16 is due on 24/09/26." Then it:

  • sets the card's statement balance and minimum payment, which Pay in full and Minimum use;
  • sets the balance to the bank's outstanding amount. If the two differ, for example because of fees, interest or spending that never reached Surrah, the difference shows in the commitment's History section as a Bank adjustment. It's negative when the bank says you owe less;
  • leaves your due date as it is.

A card at zero whose statement shows a new balance becomes active again. A promotional message that only mentions a statement changes nothing. If no statement message arrives within two days of the statement day, the card asks What's this month's statement balance?
