Family budget alerts, bill reminders and big bills

In a Family space, everyone with the switch on hears about the same things, so one person isn't left to remember for the household.

Budget alerts

You get a notification when a shared budget reaches 80% and again at 100% of its amount for the current period. One alert per level per period. If one purchase jumps past both, you get the 100% alert only. A new period starts fresh. A person's allowance alerts only that person.

Bill reminders

Every member gets a reminder before a bill is due: 3 days before unless the bill has its own lead time, at 9:00 in their own time zone. The owner gets it too, and a bill already paid for that due date sends none. Running free trials keep their own reminder on the owner's phone.

The switch

Remind me about bills on the Family space page controls both. It is yours alone. Turn it off and you stop getting budget alerts and reminders for this space.

Big bills ahead

Under Bills this month, swipe the Big bills ahead cards for yearly and quarterly bills due in the next 90 days, tagged Yearly or Quarterly, with "In N days". Below them, Set aside X a month shows how much to put away: yearly bills divided by 12 plus quarterly bills divided by 3. It is a guide. It doesn't change your budget figures.
