Budgets and category usage on Home
Home now carries two sections that used to live in the Insights tab.
Budgets Usage shows each budget and how much of it you've spent. Tap Details in the section header for the full Budgets list, and any budget for its own breakdown.
Category Usage shows where your money went, category by category, largest first. Tap View all expenses to go to the full expense list, or any row for that category's transactions.
The period selector
Each of these sections has a period chip in its header. They share one setting — change it in either place and both update, along with your Spending Summary at the top of Home.
Weekly Spending and Recent Transactions ignore it. "This week" and "your latest 5" mean one thing each, and a period selector over them would only be confusing.
Some periods — the last 3 months, this year, all time, and custom ranges — are part of the premium plan. Choosing one shows you what's included.
Why Budgets Usage sometimes says it's showing a different period
Budgets don't run on calendar months — each has its own cycle. When the period you've picked doesn't line up with a budget cycle (a custom range, say, or a span of several months), the section shows your current budget period instead and puts a note above the rows telling you so.
That's on purpose. Measuring three months of spending against a one-month budget would show you 300% used, which isn't a real number. Better to show a period that means something and say which one it is.
