Insurance renewal
An insurance policy is renewed by paying its premium. Surrah shows how long you're covered and tells you before the cover ends.
Covered until
On an Insurance commitment, the due date shows as the end of your cover, for example Covered until 12 Mar 2027. That's the date your next premium is due. Car insurance, Health insurance, Home insurance, Life insurance and Travel insurance are Yearly by default.
The renewal notice
On a policy paid Yearly, 30 days before the cover ends the row shows Renewal due, and the commitment reads Cover ends 12 Mar 2027 with Paying the premium renews it. On iPhone you also get a notification. On Android, the notice shows in the app.
Renew by paying
Tap Mark paid and record the premium. Paying it is the renewal: you're covered for another 12 months, and the notice goes away. If the premium changed, enter it in New amount (optional) and it becomes the expected amount from then on. Leave it empty to keep the current amount.
If the policy is recorded On the due date, Surrah records the premium for you on that day and the cover moves on by itself.
If you stop the policy
Open the commitment and tap Complete. It keeps its payment history and no longer counts in your Monthly total.
