On track or behind
A savings goal with a target date shows whether you're saving fast enough to reach it in time.
Surrah draws a straight line from the goal's start date (or the day you created it) to its Target date. On any day, that line says how much you should have saved by then. Open the goal to see where you stand:
- On track: you've saved at least what the line expects by today. The label also shows how much a month you need to put aside to finish by the target date.
- Behind by: you're short of the line by the amount shown, followed by how much a month you now need to put aside to catch up.
That amount a month is the same figure as the goal's Monthly set-aside: what's left to save, spread over the months until the target date. It goes up if you fall behind and down if you get ahead.
In your list, a goal that's behind shows a small Behind chip, but only after its first deposit. A goal you haven't added money to yet shows its pace when you open it, without the chip.
The pace shows while the goal is active. A goal without a target date has no pace, so it shows neither label. Add a Target date to see one.
Target date passed appears when the date goes by before you reach the goal. Its status doesn't change: it isn't completed and it isn't overdue, and Surrah sends no notification. Tap Extend to pick a new date and keep saving toward it, or leave it as it is.
As you save, the goal marks three milestones: A quarter saved at 25%, Halfway there at 50% and Three quarters saved at 75%. Each one shows in the app right after the deposit that reaches it. There's no notification.
