Paid to, Match future and bank labels
In a Project, a transfer out needs to know who you paid: the contractor, the supplier, the engineer. Surrah asks once, remembers how your bank writes that name, and files the next transfer on its own.
Pick who you paid
- Open the transfer's Confirm card. It shows Paid to and the status Needs a payee.
- Tap Paid to. Under Who did you pay? choose a payee. Payees that match the bank's name come first, marked Matches this bank label.
- To add someone, tap New payee and type a name (1 to 80 characters).
- Tap Looks right · Save.
A transfer you save without a payee still saves. It counts under Transfers needing a payee on Project Home, and tapping that line opens the newest one.
Match future ones
After you pick a payee, Match future ones from {name} appears. Leave it on and the next transfer with the same bank name goes to that payee automatically. Turn it off and Surrah keeps asking.
Banks write names differently, so one person can have more than one label. If your bank hides part of a name (for example with stars), each version is its own label. Account and card numbers are never used as names, and they show only as the last four digits.
See and undo what Surrah remembered
On the Project's space page open Bank labels remembered. Each label lists who it points to. Tap Unmatch and the next messages ask who you paid again. Payees already on your expenses stay.
Payees on Home
Payees on Project Home shows what each payee has been paid, and Others for the rest. If you set an Agreed amount, it shows how much is left, or Over agreed by. Rename a payee or set the agreed amount from Payees on the space page. Only owners and editors can change payees.
Not asked
A move between your own accounts has no payee, and a bank card payment is never asked.
