Track money your clients owe you

Money owed keeps a list of what clients still owe your Work space, with who is late. It sits on Work Home, and you add to it from the + button.

Add money owed

  1. Tap Money owed (from the + button) and choose Add money owed.
  2. Under Who owes it type the client or company name. Surrah reuses the name if you've used it before.
  3. Enter the Amount. Optionally add a Due date and a Note (up to 500 characters).
  4. Tap Save.

How a card reads

  • Due 12 Nov with the amount, or just the amount if there's no due date.
  • Due today, then Late the day after the due date.
  • Paid 700 of 1,200 · 500 left after a part payment.

Money owed is separate from Business owes you: those are different debts.

Mark money in as paid by hand

Open a money-in transaction from that client and tap Mark as paid. Choose Who paid this?. Surrah settles that client's open amounts, earliest due date first (amounts with no date go last). A part payment settles part of one amount, and any extra moves on to the next one. If nothing is open, the money stays as plain money in. Only money in your space's currency can be matched.

The transaction then reads Matched to {name}.

Unmatch

Tap Unmatch on a matched transaction and the amounts owed go back exactly as they were. Next time Surrah asks before matching that sender. If you edit, move or delete a matched transaction, it gives its payment back by itself.

Edit or delete

Tap an amount to edit it. You can't lower an amount below what's been paid, change who owes it while payments are matched, or delete it. Unmatch first. Viewers can read but not change.
